Cortijo La Vista is located in El Hoyo (Bélmez), in the Valle del Alto Guadiato, on the foothills of the Sierra Morena in northern Andalusia. Here, you can enjoy tranquillity, nature and panoramic views over rolling hills and oak trees.

You can reach us easily by car via the N-432.

The nearest airports are:

• Málaga – approx. 2.5 hours by car.
• Seville – approx. 2 hours by car.
• Madrid – approx. 4 hours by car, or take the high-speed train (AVE) to Córdoba and continue by rental car or taxi.

Yes, you can park for free on our property.

The parking area is spacious, paved and monitored 24/7 by a security camera.

We do not close the grounds at night, but the area is quiet and safe — typical Andalusian countryside where neighbours know one another and look out for each other.

We are located in a quiet valley, surrounded by natural parks and historic villages. Here, you’ll experience the real Andalusia: silence, open space and genuine local hospitality. Dining out is still affordable, and you’ll encounter few tourists — it truly feels like authentic Spain.

We are Dutch, but our hearts led us to Andalusia — not to create a second home, but to build a true home.
The quiet, the light and the warmth of the people drew us here.

In the surrounding area, you’ll find historic cities, natural parks and charming villages:

• Seville (approx. 2 hours) – royal architecture, flamenco and tapas.

Yes, absolutely. For stays longer than 30 days — including winter stays — we offer adjusted long-stay rates.

Winter here is pleasantly mild: daytime temperatures average 15–16 °C, nights around 8–9 °C, with about 5 hours of sunshine per day in January and 6 in February.

Yes, we have our own restaurant where we serve breakfast and dinner, depending on the season and our opening days. We do not serve lunch.

Breakfast and dinner are not included by default. You can reserve them when booking or let us know during your stay.

To avoid food waste, we kindly ask guests to let us know by 11:00 AM if they would like to join the next meal, so we can purchase fresh ingredients in time. We work on a small scale, allowing us to offer personal attention and freshly prepared dishes to each guest.

We serve breakfast and dinner, but no lunch. Both meals can be reserved in advance when booking, or during your stay. For breakfast and dinner, please let us know before 11:00 AM if you would like to join. This allows us to purchase ingredients responsibly and avoid food waste.

Around Cortijo La Vista, you’ll find a variety of hiking routes — from short nature walks to longer trails through the Sierra Morena. Some paths even start right from our estate. We’re happy to provide maps and tips for the most beautiful routes.

Cycling: there are beautiful rural routes around El Hoyo, including trails along the Río Guadalmez and various options described on Wikiloc. Please note that there is no bike rental in El Hoyo, Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo or Bélmez — so it’s important to bring your own bike or arrange one in advance.

Horse riding: in Espiel, you’ll find a horse breeding farm — Yeguada Albaron, specialised in Pura Raza Española (PRE) horses. They offer tours and demonstrations.
