Set in a quiet valley near Belmez and other charming villages in the Valle del Guadiato, this boutique hotel in the province of Córdoba is a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, anglers and those seeking peace and quiet.
Here you’ll find a comfortable, countryside atmosphere in a uniquely Spanish setting. Why “La Vista”
Some Spaniards might expect us to say Cortijo Las Vistas — the views. We intentionally chose the singular: La Vista. Not because there is only one view — you can see mountains, holm oaks, the lake and the night sky — but because there is one moment that matters: taking in the view. Pausing. Looking. Breathing. That quiet instant in which you see everything just as it is. For us, La Vista means not only the view, but also the calm that returns when nothing is required of you.
From dream to reality
On 29 April 2024, we, Daniëlle and Feiko, took over Cortijo La Vista. What began as a hotel with seven rooms and a restaurant is now being transformed into a small-scale sanctuary where nature, tranquillity and comfort come together. With reused materials and sustainable choices, we are building step by step toward a place that is both future-proof and authentic. Like many dreams, ours began with a longing for simplicity and space.
From the Netherlands to Andalusia
We are Dutch, but we followed our hearts to Andalusia — not just to live here, but to feel at home here. Between the hills and the quiet of the Sierra Morena, we found the peace and space we love to share with our guests. Cortijo La Vista is more than a place for us: it is a conscious choice for simplicity, presence and living with the seasons.
